I woke up early this morning, first light early, and realized that in that first glow of dawn, my new apartment is the most beautiful place in the world. It glows in this almost misty way that makes it feel like being under the boughs of a forest that towers so high you can't see the top of it. A concret and brick forest, but a forest nonetheless.

The new Decemberists CD is awesome. I could've given it to you for free :-P They're coming in April, April 6 to be exact, I want people to come, I don't want to go alone :-(

P.S.- I was reading in Allure about this tanning stuff that scientists are working on that would trigger the melanin in your skin, like the sun does, only without going in the sun. They've made it work on red-headed mice. So, instead of having a fake tan that washes off, you'd have a real tan, with no damamge. I can't wait!

Me neither! No more visiting the tanning place FOREVER away, paying tolls to get there, then accidentally sticking my fingers in the water to do the dishes before realizing, pulling them out, and having bright white finger tips and off white everything else.

Plus, I hate feeling like I'm getting all kinds of cancer by going to tanning beds. You and I should offer to be test people for it, Emily.
