Helen Keller was kind of a bitch.
In an oddly coincidental happening, we ended up seeing The Miracle Worker this weekend in Hollywood at some tiny theater. I had heard some song on the radio where they reference Helen Keller and I thought it was somewhat rude, when Adam went on some Helen Keller story and referenced the movie The Miracle Worker and Patty Duke. What if there was a global warming protest...
But nobody came because they got snowed in? That's apparently what my fiance has been giggling about this past half hour. I guess it didn't cancel the protest, but it's kind of hard to get worked up over the sky falling when it literally is falling with snow. Basketball seems dangerous...
At least with the way my fiance plays it. He plays in this local adult basketball league in a gym where they get to act like anything but adults. There's usually lots of yelling and crying, definitely some cursing, then people usually get hurt. I don't really know much about the game other than they have to put the ball into that basket hoop. Melting Pot must make a lot of money...
Because they sure rip you off with what you get for the price. This weekend we attended one of my fiance's friend's b-day celebration. She wanted to go to the Melting Pot in Pasadena which is interesting because she's been there before. I can't imagine anyone wants to go there more than once. Dave and Busters is noisy
So, last night I stopped by to meet my fiance and his friends at what was supposed to be happy hour at Dave and Busters. The organizer is always his friend Newgen, who apparently can't bear to be alone...ever. He has about 4 or 5 stupid nicknames, but that's the main one. My page looks so empty that I feel the need to write a few more things to at least give it the illusion of substance. Anyways, while I was busy not watching the Oscars, my fiance and I sat down and started watching this new season of 24 on our DVR. Writer's Block: Dressed to Impress
Does anybody actually still watch the Oscars? I know nobody actually watches the Oscar nominated movies. For at least the third year running, I haven't seen any of them, nor have any interest in doing so. Watching the Oscars is like watching those Best in Show dog contests. Sure, there are pretty things to see, but I have no idea what's what.
