And supposedly he was trying to raise money for earthquake relief. Gee, that's how to get conservative Christians to donate: tell them that their money would be going to Devil Worshipers!

My family is mixed, and I'm not Christian, either. The scary thing is how many people in the US might be nodding their heads in agreement with Pat's crazy talk.

One of the things I enjoy about watching Hindi films is that Christianity, if it's mentioned at all, is just a quaint little minor religion best known for having pretty stained glass in its churches, instead of being part of the "Moral Majority."

One of the most amazing documentaries I ever saw was The Tibetian Book of the Dead. And one of its most profound points was that these believers rarely prayed for themselves, but for all the world to find peace and harmony. That is basically foreign to ask for themselves.
