yes I think ready made has run out of ideas - a shame, because I am too lazy to come up with my own. I wish they had included some creative projects for recycling crappy magazines. I do like the messenger bag out of plastic bags project - i've seen stuff like that before but now that I have it in front of me I might actually make a bag for my bike.

they do seem to be clutching at straws lately- it seems like some of their projects are wasteful of perfectly-good items rather than clever re-uses of stuff that's reached the end of it's useful life. Case in point- those chairs made out of wheelie bins- um, those things are expensive! And y'know, really good for keeping trash in! And they're designed so that garbage trucks can forklift them up and over to empty them! I'd rather have something to chuck my trash in than an ugly, uncomfortable chair!

be careful! in earlier editions of S 'n' B, the pattern for the alien illusion scarf had some errors. you should check to make sure your pattern is right - i wouldn't want you to get frustrated halfway through. good luck!! ;)

oh, you're so sweet to point that out! I had actually read on the workman website that that's what happened- though believe me. there's been plenty of ripping out and re-knitting all the same!
