Well, that was exciting. My son, WINOLJ, went out to drive to the store only to find out that his car was gone. This was at midnight Tuesday, outside of his dorm at Macalester. Oh, I just had such a nice break
I just got up and went for a walk on the West Bank. I have been sitting here in front of the computer all day without a rest, so rather than go take a cat nap I decided to try fresh air. It's SPRING!!!
I just finished listening to the most WONDERFUL story - Water for Elephants. I could not put it down (or however you say that about a recorded book). The narrators are great - one for the young man and one for the old man. Wow. You must get it. I have just purchased The Glass Castle from Audible.com after a recommendation from a trusted source. Our anniversary voyage
Against all suggestions to the contrary, galacticvoyeur and I drove to Winona this weekend. Call us crazy, but we have read and listened to so many weather warnings that we decided to trust our instincts and throw caution to the wind. My wonderful lovelies have gone back to their homes. How strange it is to be a mom; pulled by an umbilicus that knows no boundaries, near and far, through all kinds of weather and to all the corners of the globe. The kids are home!
My head is full of children. Well, grown children. We now have amongst us, in varying combinations, a girl scientist tigrr_lily, a boy Arabic scholar alexinamman, and a boy economist and French scholar, WINOLJ. Our fall vacation
galacticvoyeur and I just returned from a rather wonderful fly/drive trip out east. We began on a Saturday by flying to Cleveland, a short and simple hop.
