I registered to be a donor in high school when one of the teachers had (and eventually passed away from) leukemia and they were having a hard time finding a match. So they had a donor drive and had as many people sign up as possible.
There was a time there when Amelia's best match was a girl our age from Oregon and we were both kind of "Oh, man, what if?"
I tried to be a platelet donor, but they didn't need my blood type. I'll probably check back soon and see if it's changed.
i've been thinking about you, sweetie. i miss you. lots and lots. i love telling people about you, about how freaking amazing you were. i love you, and you're always in my heart.
