I'm not a treasure, I'm a mimic. Rawr!

I like how if you stare at an object long enough while ineffectually reaching out your arm and making Jedi hand wave motions at it, eventually someone will notice (or be concerned) and bring the object to you. Or how when I was just thinking out loud about how I needed some coasters and a few days later my sister showed up at my door, said "Here", ( Read more... )

Those posters are cool. If I were made of money, I'd buy 50 of them and wallpaper the room with them, which is what the pinstripe design seems to intend.

Well, I think the same thing can be said about people being nice and considerate to each other. How perfectly true.

My favorite book is like a thousand pages long, so I could probably wallpaper a room with it, but the only room small enough would be inappropriate. It would give me something to read, though.

Those posters are awesome! The LeVar Burton comparison reminds me of something my ex used to say about not wearing a band's t-shirt when you were attending a concert for said band. "We know you like that band," he reasoned. "You're at their concert. You don't need to advertise the band to anyone here, either. You already know they like them." But! He did hang a Snoopy "READ" poster by our bookshelves. So clearly his convictions weren't that strong. Or maybe it was an order to any guests who wondered to that corner of the apartment.

See, I never understood that and I would totally be someone who wandered into a concert wearing the band's t-shirt and wonder why people were turning their noses up at me. I always thought it was like wearing a team's jersey to their game, you know, that it was the most appropriate time to wear the shirt.

I thought about putting up movie and video game posters in the book room and then reading posters next to my digital media collection, but then I'd just bounce back-and-forth between the two rooms being temporarily convinced that I should be doing the other thing.

Boo, just noticed my wonder/wander error.

But I think you make a good point. And I just remembered, he also hung a bunch of movie and music posters around our quite sizeable DVD and CD collections. So now I'm just confused. And wishing I had space of mine own to decorate with movie posters.

As I read the page I switched the title for Little Women with the Frankenstein graphic. I did a double take.
