I've never been a cat person, but they're starting to grow on me.

I love pets, or more specifically, other people's pets. If I saw a friend walking their dog down the street, I would probably kneel down and say hello to the dog first, enthusiastically smiling at it and scratching behind its ears. Only then would I stand up and greet my friend with a "Hi" that sounds half-hearted in comparison. And if, in a moment ( Read more... )

People have been known to find true love on far less common ground.

I'm glad to see you have so many cat lover friends. Clearly a group with very discerning tastes. Cats don't hump people, or slobber all over them. However, mine have an annoying schedule of tearing around the house at 4 am for no reason whatsoever, so they aren't perfect.

Haha, dogs do that too. Our chihuahua made a little miniature racetrack out of the living room, just running in circles for five minutes straight, like he had lost touch with reality. But he did keep more reasonable hours than 4 AM.

So cats are better for private humiliation? I guess that could make sense. Sometimes when they make trouble it feels like they should know better and they're only doing it to put you in your place.

LOL @ the old woman story

I prefer dogs over cats. I know you didn't ask. I also prefer pets over no pets. I've always had dogs. They give good hugs. And I love when I come home from work and my dog just sort of howls at me, like's she's saying "Helloooooooooooooo!"

Also, in my opinion, dogs have the funniest smiles in the animal kingdom. I mean, look at this.

When I pass a stranger on the street with a dog, I normally ignore the owner and smile at the dog. Unless I get to pet it and then the owner talks to me, then I'll acknowledge them, but otherwise they are much less important. Sorry.

It's alright, I understand. Whenever I walk my dog, I'll make sure not to interrupt his socializing and instead just quietly wonder to myself how he does it.

haha

I wouldn't be embarrassed about the leg-humping. They should feel flattered.
