I'm frankly shocked that I passed. I'm happy though. I assume that you passed as well. Congrats! 1kyu is hard, the biggest part is maintaining focus on the listening and reading comprehension. But if 1kyu will help you, go for it.

Yeah, living in Japan I got the result almost a month ago.
I'm not sure 1kyu will help me, but it's kind of the principle of it.

And I need something to do to occupy my free time at work, why not study for the JLPT.
