Hmm. I think very old train windows can be actually pulled down (or pushed up!) far enough to really lean out (it's of course forbidden now!) and I always got the impression that the HE is one of the old-style trains we see in old WWI and WWII pictures.

Maybe I'll find some actual photos, too.

You really are that good! I know it sounds stupid, but you've got such a beautiful technique that I've always admired, with wonderful subtlety and delicacy, and a sense of light that makes even a simple ink bottle magical. ♥

I knew when I started this series I wanted to draw the very best I could, but I often feel I'm just not that good.

I'm not sure how much this means, but you're my favourite HP fanartist. You can convey such amazing emotions so subtly. Your illustrations are absolutely captivating.
