Glad you liked it. My sister has been after me about writing someone with two moms, which is hard to do when most of my pairings have canon set parents. So, I gave in for Danny since his family is still up in the air beyond a few words and spoilers. I was going to do two dads but she twisted my arm. -sigh- sisters.

I am also rooting for the Jets, mostly because I don't like the Steelers...and I kind of want to see the Pack play the Jets at the superbowl. (I'm originally from the U.P. of Michigan. I am obligated to like the Packers...even if it's only during the playoffs.)

Right now I'm doing an impersonation of Santonio Holmes' "flying like a Jet" after a TD reception, I'm still so jacked from winning yesterday.

The Jets/Steelers game was going to be a grudge match between the two of them, as Steve had this thing about cheering for the opposite team as him…and Danny was all about the Jets.

YES!!! GO JETS!!!

Oh...ahem...right review fic...pulls mind back into 5-0 Fandom.

Funny, I had just assumed that "mama" was Danny's grandmother! Guess I should have looked at the author's note first, huh?

Other than all the lovely references to the Jets (how did they work themselves back into my review???), my favorite line had to be:

“Danny,” Steve said, shaking his head slightly, “I trust you. Believe me. The thing I’m not trusting is what you consider to be a gift that has leftovers.”Loved the exchange between the boys, the banter was dead spot on for them

They better slaughter the Steelers. I want to see the Packers play the Jets at the superbowl (Because the Packers will kick the Bears ass. I swear it! Of course, if I'm wrong, this reply will come back to haunt me...)

Jets/Packers in the Super Bowl would be my preference come February 6th as well. I'd love to see both #6 seeds in the Super Bowl, it's never happened before.

I'd of course have to root for the Jets in the Super Bowl!!

I hope you decide to continue this series!

I like that you have Danny coming from an unconventional family so that when he and Steve get together, no parent will flip out.

That wasn't fully my intention, but I see what you mean. I always write parents reactions they way my parents reacted when my sister came out. With love and support. But I do get that not all parents are like that.
