The pictures are lovely as always. :) By the way, I think the green birds on the plum tree were "Mejiro", though they say "Uguisu" (the same green-coloured birds) is suitable for plum trees.
I'm still tired but ok ( I slept all yesterday morning) and I try not to go out too much when it's this cold.
Do those cute birds have an English name too? I bought a book with prints from Hiroshige and there's a green white eyed little bird in it named a 'Japanese White-eye'.
Ah yes, they have: "Japanese White-eye" must be the English name for "Mejiro".
BTW: People tend to mix up White-eye with Uguisu (Japanese Bush-warbler), so the bird in Hiroshige's print might have been intended to be Uguisu but actually was White-eye. Or not. :P
