Common Mistakes in Swedish
I'm still writing regularly at Lang-8, and I'm still making a lot of mistakes. However, tonight I would like to write about the mistakes of others. Maybe it will be interesting.
Note: All my example sentences are written the "correct" way, I won't quote actual "wrong" sentences. Use your imagination!

Tvätt och vila
Tvätten gick ganska smidigt idag, mycket mindre att tvätta än förra gången. Tur det, för jag har varit så trött, så trött. Jag sov fjorton timmar (!) inatt. Och ändå kände jag mig inte pigg när jag steg upp. Till frukost åt jag favoriten havregrynsgröt, och kompletterade med en smörgås med avocado. Jättegott med avocado på mackan! Confusing Chinese (part 2)
As I mentionend in the first installment of "Confusing Chinese", I get quite a lot of corrections of my use of 了 le. le is one of those small words that are used a lot, in many confusing ways. Sometimes I write it and people comment that it should be omitted, but more often I omit it and people say it is lacking ( Read more... ) -
hacking chinese challenge
I just signed up for the February Listening Challenge at the hacking chinese blog, http://challenges.hackingchinese.com/ (link goes to challenge page). German Grammar
I recenly bought a German grammar book, in the hope to conquer the German grammar. Fittingly enough, it started with a lesson on gender (der/das/die) in German. There are a lot of rules of thumb for the genders, some of them quite nonsensical. I quite like the rule for words ending in -e: usually they are feminine, unless they are masculine. Haha! Clean clothes
Wohoo, I did my laundry today! It turned out it was the booking machine that was broken, not my key card, so that's good. I have a lot of Clean clothes laying around in the apartment, waiting to be moved into the wardrobes. I have a lot of clothes!

New Year, New Language Goals
Or maybe new old language goals. For this year, my goal is to improve my Chinese. I want to improve my writing and reading skills. I also want to get better at the formal side of the language.
