Wish you were going to be in Texas next week so we could overlap. After we do the little show in Houston we're going up to Archer City to see what Mr. McMurtry has in the book shops there. then on to boston. Trying to work out the 1-suitcase wardrobe plan for 70 degrees in Houston and 40 degrees in Boston. Hmmm.....

Archer City! I'm actually half-reading (as in, a chapter every so often) McMurtrey's memoir Walter Benjamin at the Dairy Queen. :-)

[hugs and delight]

"I'm not sure that making the rest of a bat is a good idea just now."

From my experience, trying to knit lace patterns when overwhelmed is not the best idea I've ever had. I just abandoned the eyelash scarf I was going to make for Miss M because the materials are dreadful to work with (also, tres cheap, fortunately). I'll just have to try something else. I think I have a little bit of silk I could try to work with...
