Oh hey! An actual, like, update! How nice to see what you've been up to. I don't think I realized exactly where you were until you mentioned the smoke from the Rim fire, which is terrifying to contemplate as being anywhere close to you. Yikes. On the other hand, I bet it's splendid when it isn't fire season. :) Is it ever not fire season? Probably not.

We're actually a fair distance (70-100 miles?) from the Rim fire, but the smoke, as you will have seen on the news, is working all the way up into Nevada and points north. Since we're between Reno and Sacramento, we get just a hint of that particular blaze. Happily, fire season ends around November, most years. Then we can watch for snow instead . :-D

I've been following the rim fire and it's truly frightening exactly how huge this thing is. I'm glad to hear you're a safe distance away. Am I wrong or do the fires seem to be getting worse each year?

4 plays in 3 days is my kind of vacation. I love live theater.

We do love the live performances, but we can longer do 5 plays in three days and still have a hope of remembering what we saw by the end of the week...
