Happy Birthday! I have to say, I love the rain too. I spent my last day off curled up with my kitten, watching a thunderstorm come over the hills to town. Beauty!
MMMM- tequila. I've had the burritos at Sneaky Dee's and they're awesome- I wanna go back there next time I'm in town. I got started drinking Amsterdam (funny name since it's brewed in Toronto) beer at Sneaky Dee's- good stuff- I wish we could get it here.
Y'know... I've gotta say that since my twenties were so full of misery, angst, and confusion, I'm rather excited about my thirties. I feel more in touch with myself, more sure of what I want and can give in the world, more balanced... I am finally about to start doing work that I was made to do, work I feel passionately about and that I will learn from...
I'm not excited about 'getting older', specifically, but I am excited about being more ME than I've ever been before.
Whoa! How cool is your boyfriend? Congrats on the lovely gifts and the lessons and the job and the being in the 30s. I kind of love the 30s mostly because I feel so much more like my own person (if that makes any sense at all) than ever before and also because I really can't be classified as a 'young mum' anymore...though I still get the 'you're a MOM?!?!?!' thing from new people...but then I have a sprog about to go into his teens as of Sunday. Oy vey.
I'm with you on that! As I said above, I feel as if I've finally started to know who I am and to be comfortable with being that person. Getting older can't be all bad if that's the case :)

Being IN our thirties sucks. I'm about to hit 33, which puts me 2 years closer to being in my MID THIRTIES!
