Having no lack of adventure in my life I returned last night from a three day stint at Sick Kids where the daughter had quasi-emergency surgery performed on the growth plates on the ball joint of the femur in her right leg. Oi. It's been a while. After a crazy few weeks we've accomplished a lot including seeing the loin fruits off to Disney World for a week with their Dad & Stepmum and her family. The mister & I did our food handlers training and certification yesterday. I'll be paranoid about eating out for a while now...we talked about poop. A lot. Like, really a lot. I was kind of shocked to hear that the certification costs loads of dosh in other communities and that we're the only one in Ontario which offers it for free. It's kind ( Read more... ) -

So the mister, the sprogs and I decided this Christmas past that it was time to do away with purchased wrapping paper and to use only recyclable/reusable alternatives for gift giving. This has allowed us to use up a lot of the packaging materials from mail-order items and a bunch of my fabric/old clothing stash for this purpose. Hardly the first ( Read more... )
