Ah! I grew an opinion!

So back before the turn of the year I was invited by my cell phone provider to choose a gift from a handful of largely cell phone related gifts and magazine subscriptions like Chatelaine or Marie Claire. Being the media junkie and quick number cruncher that I am I quickly decided on a 6 month subscription to Mclean's which is generally a little ( Read more... )

WOW! You get a lolly pop. That is one very good rant. Way to go...now I'm going to have to read the damn article for myself. Just so I can figure out what the hell pissed you off so much. That was very fun to read though. :) LOL

Hey, thanks =) Pretty much everything about the article which made me cranky is cited in the post - what pisses me off more than the article itself is the amount of attention it's getting and the commission is rolling with it because it's a prestigious case between abstract entities rather than focusing their energies on frontline issues between real people. I guess the big thing I didn't clearly say in the rant is that I feel the commissions and mclean's each have different motivations in this and I fear it will taking time and resources from people who really need them.

God I forgot how much B.S. can be spilled in the name of an article of insight.
What a load of crap. You nailed it I think. If you had not said anything I probably would have ran with it as gospel. I only glimpsed a few fragments of reality in that story. Your right about him not backing up his statements and his diatribe seems more desperate then accurate. I wonder how often I've read something that has been that messed up. I probably have a bunch of inaccurate statements flying around in my awareness that have no basis in fact. oh wait I'm blond so I have lots of that. Ha! Glad I'm one of them there Pasty White-Canadians that never uses his brains for much. Well, until now that is. Way to go!!! Geez!!
Thanks for the read and the wake up call.

Thanks again =) I'm not really about telling others what the what is...well ok, I suppose I am but I really do try to vent honestly as opposed to underhandedly. I wear my wet, left-winged, liberal sentiments on my sleeve and wish the opposition did the same for their own cause. It does makes me happy to be able to relate another factor in the equation
