Had a maintenance window tonight to configure a channel bank on our Asterisk PBX where I work. After getting the channel bank configured I needed some way to test line quality to make sure things like fax machines would work w/o issue. Found out!
So it appears that Adam from work reads my blog and discovered we are pregnant. Went ahead and told my boss so he doesn't find out second hand.
It wasn't a secret, just funny that it got out so quickly. :) -
Atlas Shrugged
Going to the library today to check out 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand. It was a recommendation from a couple of guys I met at Astricon a long time ago and I'm just now getting to it.
This quote from wikipedia worries me though:

Told the family
Tonight we told the last of our immediate family that Amber is pregnant. We decided to be a little creative and made Lana a shirt that reads, 'Big Sister' on it. It's been a fun week going to the parent's houses and seeing how quickly they pick up on it. Well, driving home today. I just saw one of the most impressing things ever and about 61st in the world(?) park wave. They were probably 200 McCain's, Palin's ____ lining both sides of the street. Shouting in people and telling everyone the heart(?) and support of McCain ( Read more... ) -
Upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10
Taking the plunge and upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10 on my main workstation. After that I think I'll setup seamless mode w/ VMWare Workstation so Amber can use the standad Flickr upload tool. F-Spot kinda sucks at that. -
