[Squid Girl had a pretty decent meal of seafood at one of Mayfield's fancy restaurants the other night thanks to Finas, but she's hungry again and wondering where exactly the restaurant caught all of those lobster.  After all, more than one person told her that there's no ocean anywhere near Mayfield, and that's the only place she knows of to catch

[The park. One of the many places Cyuss likes to go, because his drone family isn't there. They still freak him out, despite how long he's been in Mayfield. One thing he never expected to see, though, was a woman drowning. Damn--she must have been attacked or something, she looks so pathetic!

So naturally, Cyuss Warren decides to save the day!]

Hey! Hang on!

[And it doesn't take him long to rip off his shirt he's done this before and dive into the lake after her! Because he's not the kind of person who would just watch someone drown!]

[Burbles and flails around, not entirely aware that there's someone coming to save her just yet. Drowning is a pretty new sensation for her, so she's panicking more than a little over it.]

[Saving drowning people is a new thing for Cyuss, too. Luckily, he reaches her, but...he doesn't know where to grab her, so he tries grabbing her arms and pulling her up to breathe! That works, right?]

"Ow ow ow ow!"

[Her arms are pretty thin and weak, so it hurts a little as she's being hauled up out of the water, but at least she isn't choking or sputtering anymore. There are a few wet, strained coughs as she instinctively climbs up onto Cyuss as best she can. She's still disoriented, but solid objects are definitely preferable in this situation.]
