I think I commented on the briefness of the H/G kiss on someone else's (Angua's?) LJ, but I don't think I've seen it explicitly mentioned on my flist. It was sweet, but BRIEF. I can't imagine how the HBP movie kiss can even be considered to represent "several long moments" let alone "several sunlit days! I think I mentioned this elsewhere, but I swear, if I didn't know it was coming up, I'd probably have missed it. I hope the birthday snog in DH is good and long to make up for the briefness of this one.
I agree that the ending SUXed. But this is the only HP movie that I've actually laughed out loud and the kids definitely acted miles better in this one by far.
So, as of now, it is my favourite HP movie so far. I hope DH can eclipse it (both parts).
I didn't actually hate the ending, just that dumb line Harry says. I don't get why Kloves likes to make Harry say things that absolutely no teenage boy, anywhere, would say.
She didn't ask if he wanted her to hide, she asked if he wanted her to hide the book. So even he couldn't find it. But she'll know where it is, yeah? And maybe she'll find the tiara, too? WTF is up with that? One of the few things I predicted correctly (that the tiara was going to be a horcrux), and they left it out of the movie? I want to know HTF Harry is supposed to find that tiara now. Will Ginny say, "Oh, I saw something like that in the RoR when we hid your book."?
I kept hoping, the entire time we were getting spoilers and more and more pictures of that kiss, that it would be wonderful. But it wasn't.
You and me both. The more I think about it, the more weird it seems - I mean there's Ginny in her nightgown, robe and slippers, with Harry fully dressed and she bends down to tie his shoelaces? Suggestive imagery aside, it just rubbed me wrong.

Actually, she didn't ask about that. She stated quite plainly that it had to be done. "That can stay hidden up here too, if you like" doesn't refer to her or the book, but the kiss. It means they don't have to talk about it, it doesn't have to mean anything if he doesn't want it to. I thought that was pretty awesome myself, very in keeping with Ginny's laid-back, undemanding character, but perhaps like with many things in these movies, I'm in the minority.
Completely agree the kiss was weird. Also, WORD to the horribleness of that line of Harry's, and to Hermione's expanding hair in the Potions class. I grinned like an idiot when I saw that.
I'm waiting for the BBC mini-series where each book gets six or seven hours of footage. Yeah, like that. I'm glad you didn't totally love it because it makes me feel a little less bad about not getting to see it in the theater. Thanks.
I mean, it was fun to see in a theater and all, (mostly because I was with zsenya, B, and Cap'n Kathy, but it's not OMG THE BEST MOVIE EVA! So yeah, you'll survive until the DVD and/or you are better.

Primarily, why did Snape have no reply to Harry calling him a coward?! In the book that was HUGE, IMHO.
