I generally am forced to avoid anything that isn't going to pay me, because I really need the motivation of payment in order to do anything, and I'm a poor starving artist.
It's just frustrating, especially looking at places like Craigslist and thinking, gee, I could do this, and would love to, but why don't they feel like paying me?
I'm thinking about reposting this in Philly. Every once in awhile I'll see some repost where some poor fool like me is wondering the same kind of thing. Aren't we better than this? Did we go to school for nothing? Am I destined to work at an art supply store for the rest of my life? ;)

I posted this for xtina who's been running into these douchebags as of late.
Fuck em. I may not get paid what i deserve at my job, but at least they don't expect me to work for free.
