I saw Inception yesterday and I really liked it. :)

But. I saw this somewhere online and I shall cut from this point on as it gets ( spoilery. )

I'm not taking the poll because I think the point was that the viewer isn't supposed to know, just like Cobb doesn't know for sure which it is. That's just classic Nolan for you; he's good at creating a sense of uncertainty/ambiguity (though Inception wasn't one of the most stellar examples of this, except at the end).

And yeah, exactly -- why the kids couldn't move was one thing I thought was a glaringly obvious plot hole and made Cobb's struggle far less relatable for me; talk about a case of the mountain going to Mohammed. I enjoyed the film for what it was, but I am quite baffled by the cries of OMG REVOLUTIONARY1!!! MINDFUCK!!!111 makes me want to invite the people saying these things to my place so we can watch Memento, Rashōmon, Donnie Darko, Dark City, Abre los ojos, etc etc. >.>

I know, I know, the viewer is not supposed to know for sure, that's why they show the totem (I forget what it's called in English :/ googletranslate says gyroscope? really? sounds weird to me) waver but not fall and so we can't be sure either way. But I think the viewers can decide for themselves, no ( ... )
