gah, that list! the only thing worse than dean is rory's taste in boys, period.
my grandfather also had ECT (in the late 1940s I think -- WW2 PTSD) and while he was always a sweet and lovable person, I do wonder what his 'real' personality was like. (anecdotally it seems he was a lot more of a spitfire pre-shocking.)
Oh man, that's so weird, to lose part of your personality like that. My dad had it done in the '50s for depression and said he forgot at least a week of his life. He came home and found clothes in his closet he didn't recognize, because he'd bought them in that missing week.
Woooo, goodreads! Sometimes I think about going back and adding books I read before it started, so it can be an even more ~*~complete record~*~, but then I realize that might be crazy person behavior.
Are you calling me a crazy person, because that's exactly what I did! I used to record my readings on a website called AllConsuming which got progressively more shitty as time went by, and so I switched everything from like, 2006-2010. It took time! But now it's all complete and beautiful. Well, it lacks books from say, 1994-2006, but still.
HEEE, no, that is awesome! I remember that site! I used to track all my books on 50bookchallenge, and still have them all in my LJ memories. Oh man, now I totally want to do that, although I'm worried book reviews I wrote in 2004 are going to be embarrassing.
Wow, this new window looks soft-edged and antiseptic and weird. Anyway.
Mad Men: so worried that Megan was going to disappear from the HoJo's parking lot, never to be heard from again. A little worried that Roger is going to marry Sally Draper in a few years. Worrisome season.
Not entirely convinced that woman Don killed was a fever dream. I'm holding open the possibility that Megan quietly took away the body while Don was unconscious.
Unintentional comedic highlight: Pete's drunken, abortive soliloquy. "I have nothing. Except my adoring wife. And our new baby. And a job that pays obscenely well despite extremely unclear measures of success. But nothing else."
Best comment: "Pete Campbell should really think about getting a less punchable face."
Wishing Roger's LSD trip would be released as a direct-to-DVD movie. In 3D, ideally.
Prediction: Don leaves SCDP, and Megan, to follow Peggy to Metropolis and start working under the new alias Clark Kent.
