A small book.

There is this book, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. If you live in San Diego, its a requirement to read eventually, but I'd recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't begin to suggest that it'd be the best read of your life, nor that the book holds perfect grammar or that it could possibly be found completely interesting as a pass-time read. Still, I ( Read more... )

I've read both of those books. They are very, very good, the first especially. There is actully a movie of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but I don't like it very much.

You're right, there is! And I'm glad you don't like it. Apart from the stud we know as Jack Nicholson it was lame. Not because it virtually sucked, it was a good movie. But it was from McMurphy's perspective, unlike the book where its from Chief "Broom"

I'm glad you've read both books. You strike me as a person that would have.

I'm not in much of a posistion to appreciate Nicholson's alleged studliness, so it was worse for me. I hate it when they do stuff like that, and change over the perspectives. I also just tend not to like movies that are based off books. They're almost never as good, you know?

I love reading so much. I finished this book, The Boy Detective Fails by Joe Meno. It's really weird, but I really liked it. It's about this boy who is one of those book-hero kid detectives, but then his sister commits suicide and years and years later he's in a mental hospital. Now I'm probably going to read Stiff; The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach. It's non-fiction and looks so amazingly, blast-my-head-open interesting.

Very good! I will have to see if I can find those and check them out for a while. I agree about movies that are originally from books. I must admit I am a bit of a Jack fan.

But I will always be more of a book fan than a movie fan. And last but not least, I don't envy having the name "Mary Roach".

I've seen the movie "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" I thought it was really sad but good. I will try to read the other book.
