The heart can be cultivated,
I think,
for though mine feels leaden,
it is expanding
as things do when they freeze
and just maybe
as it grows in its own
dismal way
love can be found
between those ionic bonds
and perhaps
with enough water and
with some energy
it will someday melt
into something warm;
pulsing and fervid.

I really have very few complaints about Zach.
Except when I get mad and he acts like I'm a fucking bitch for being upset about something. He invalidates my anger every single time. I'm sorry for being human. And I'm sorry you're a fucking asshole.

I've had strep for a week now.
I'm coughing violently, and have been awake for almost 48 hours now.
Took codeine, which was supposed to help, about an hour and a half ago. It has completely worn off already. Fuck.
I just want to sleep...

We broke up this weekend. (I guess it was mutual, though I was more upset about it than he was.) This is good. But it took me watching He's Just Not That Into You to make me realize that it really wasn't working.
