Since my inspiration/motivation to continue my weird PokeNaru stories--and Caught in the Whirlpool in particular--has faded, here's a little outline of what I intend/intended to happen.

Okay. Now I'm sitting here thinking about what Narutos gen 6 team would be. And I have to ask. Why does he catch all the different Pumpkaboo?

Also I couls see them banning naruto from brining his strongest pokemon because they'd give him an unfair advantage but I can't see the banning his weaker ones. Maybe they stick him with the old gym rules. He can use certain pokemon after he gets certain badges. That way Eve could evolve into a sylveon and be his fairy type.

Sorry, this got my brain ticking and now I'm sitting here telling myself no because I kinda want to write this.

This far-distant foreign region bans him bringing his Pokemon because they worry about them carrying diseases that the local Pokemon don't have resistances to. If Naruto were to try and bring his whole collection along, each one would have to be individually and thoroughly examined, and then quarantined for a lengthy period before he could run around with them overseas. Jiraiya has already gone through the whole mess and most of his Pokemon were sent ahead to wait in quarantine so that they'd be ready when he got there. It's simply easier that if Naruto goes along that he leaves his Pokemon behind and starts over, and later imports a few of his original Pokemon at a later date.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Also I think that if Eve couldn't be his fairy type it should be a corbink because while he doesn't get tsunades necklace in this verse it'd be a nice reference.

I feel kinda bad for his pokemon though having to stay behind while he leaves. But I'd love to see Kurama. I'm assuming by the name that he's more mellow that Demon was at first. And does he give each punkaboo a different name?

Because I'm having a major moment. What about a bug type for narutos team? Then again gen six only has scatterbug and its evolutions.

Kinda sad you've run out of inspiration on this, but I get it. You churned out a lot of stories for Naruto regardless.

I'm curious though...what were you going to have Eve and Vee evolve into? (Mostly curious about Eve, because I wanna know what pretty color she'll be :D)

Ooh also, how do you think Naruto's old pokemon and new pokemon would get along? (My own little fan-headcanon has Demon begrudgingly missing Naruto tons while he's gone)

I was going to have Eve become an Umbreon and Vee become a Leafeon...but now with Sylveon in the mix I'm not sure if I would change one of them.

There would be wariness and tension between the two groups at first, but with time they'd get along...mostly. Haven't thought much about it, honestly.
