This story has everything I love in a fic with a ribbon on top!! I could feel Sam's isolation and pain and how he was slowly retreating more and more into himself. Dean and Cas were oblivious and obviously wrapped too much in their own happiness to realize that giving Sam space and letting him out of their plans was NOT what Sam needed. It broke my heart how he was hearbroken and he still thought everything was his fault. I loved that last scene, and hopefully they have realized now they have to actually reach out for him because Sam's issues simply don't let him.

I'd love to read more about their dynamics and how they make it work and fix it. It can't have been easy to finally find an equilibrium.

So... huh... Sequel? :D

That was so cute and sad but then cute again in the end :). I was really annoyed with Dean and Cas for a bit but good to know it wasn't on purpose at least.

This was wonderful. Even if it did make me cry. ;_;

There are so many things in this story that I love. Sam becoming the third wheel, isolating himself so much and no one noticing what was happening just broke my heart. Especially when he started thinking that he'd been reading the entire relationship wrong. It's painful, how awful it would feel to think he'd missed any 'hints' that he wasn't welcome with them.

It sucked that Dean and Cas were so oblivious, but I'm really happy that once Sam really started to freak out and babble they knew exactly what he was saying. And yay! Now they're a real unit, and in public no less. The end made me laugh and smile so much. (I loooove what Dean says when he refuses to let Castiel in the driver's seat again, hehehe).

So, yes. Wonderful fic! <3<3<3
