The short version of the past few weeks (months) - because I definitely don't have the energy to recap in detail:

October = work.  Still getting the office organized.

November = More of the same.  Trip to Minnesota for Thanksgiving.  Visited my grandma in the nursing home.

The guy who owns the Beanie Baby company just bought the penthouse suite in the still-to-be-built spire building (aka the new "tallest building in America" or whatever). For $40 million. And it won't even be done until 2012!

That's insanity.

I must say ... this commercial is pretty hilarious.

So, Friday afternoon around 3:00, one of the other secretaries on my team ("team" = the three other secretaries, one other paralegal, two partners and about 12 associate attorneys I work with) asked me if I wanted to share a cab with her that night.
