God is so awesome! It stormed really bad last night & so when we woke up it was fairly dark. I was laying in bed with Leah & Meagan & I started to pray out loud. I prayed for God's protection over all of us, over our family, to be with Alyssa & Sami while they are away from us, etc. I then said Thank-you God & the BRIGHTEST beam of light came ( Read more... )

I LOVE it when God does stuff like that! What a testimony to the girls, too! Moments like that seem to come to me most when I'm driving in the car by myself. Once I was listening to a song, "I will lead you if you follow..." and a huge flock of canadian geese flew out from behind a tree at that exact moment. I started weeping. I love it when God speaks in creative and beautiful ways!

OH WOW! That sounds so awesome! Some people think that God is "too busy" for us but incidences like this just PROVE that he has all the time in the world for us!

You know, it's funny...I was just praying on my drive to work this morning, just thanking him for different things (and also thinking about what we were saying). And just at that moment, there were about 5 turkeys in the road and I had to slow down to prevent hitting them. So I was thinking, "Ok, God. Are you calling me a turkey now??" Sometimes God makes jokes, too ;)

What a beautiful blessing from God! I love when He does things like that. And how it strengthens our faith and your precious children's.

I just wanted to thank you for your kind words and prayers for me and my family. I don't get a chance to come on much these days with all that is going on. My step dad is dying but he is saved. We are going to the hospital every day.

God bless you and your dear family. Your journal is such a blessing to me. (I love that verse too...Rita is the one who introduced me to LJ in 2004 when I was in a nursing home in Baltimore) *hugs*

I LOVE praying for people. So many are praying for me now & have prayed for me in the past. I just LOVE returning the favor! I know there is power in prayer & the more the better! I am so thankful to hear that your stepdad is saved. It is hard watching someone that is not saved that is dying or that has died. I am so glad that you have found that my journal is a blessing... sometimes I think it gets depressing.... but I feel I should still post so that others can see God lift me out of my mirk & mire!
