I was supposed to have the "big" ultrasound tomorrow. The one where they make sure everything is okay and (assuming baby isn't shy) tell you if said child is a boy or girl. But it had to be rescheduled for Thursday. So to everyone whom I promised phone calls don't feel left out tomorrow and everyone else, I will likely post an update on my ( Read more... )

We always found out the sex with ours. Then again, with the first two it was very obvious.

I carried all three of mine the same--all in front. I figured that it was just because I was already stretched out that way. As for sickness, the oldest, Brandon was the worst, the last two were barely noticeable.

I remember being asked if I wanted a hysterectomy with my c-section when I was pregnant with Toby. I looked at the doctor in shock...I wasn't even 21 yet.

what the hell? why one earth would you have an ultrasound to find out if something is wrong to have an abortion? thats crazy. i dont know how you deal with all that rigmoral. why the hell would the pressure you to have an abortion? you know, it think these doctore need to focus on learning how to heal sick unborn babies, rather than kill them. although that is unfair to say, b/c they are doing that. just thing morning on the news i heard about the first ever case of heart surgey on an unborn baby, who would have died, but is now older, like three months or something, and healthy and doing very well. twas quite cool.
hehe, now you can just preface all such talk with "I'm Catholic," and that might end it. :)

yes, do post and let us know! v. excited for you!

There are some irreversible birth defects where the baby will likely live only briefly after delivery, die in childhood, or experience various levels of disability (from something like down's syndrome to being in a vegetative state) and in those cases it usually when it comes up. Only something like 10% of babies with Down's syndrome are born. I don't agree with it - in fact mothers who have children with disabilities are now getting judged because they chose to not kill their child. Covenant news had a story by a woman who aborted a little boy with down's syndrome in her second trimester. It was so sad and disturbing because she was convinced she was entitled to a certain type of baby and a certain type of life. I do agree that there are likely more treatments that could be discovered if more research was put into it ( ... )
