Glad that your approach is working. My little ones still snack at least once a day, but its mostly fruit.

I should have specified that I do keep some food for when the kids (particularly the younger ones) do get really hungry between meals (usually raw veggies, sometimes fruit, or something high fiber and very healthy)

glad its working well.

yea, we have two snack times in a school day alone. i would really like to be able to cut i down to just one in the afternoon, but we have lunch so late in the day (we eat 12) that theres no way my kiddos can go from 7amish till 12 without something. so we have snack "on the go" that they eat while we work in the morning.

i'm a slave driver i know. :P

I don't have a problem with a child snacking who is legitimately hungry (that is what the raw veggies are for/whole grain bread for Vivi - although if it is a really long time between then we do something more substancial like peanut butter on bread/cheese and bread for Vivi), it is constant "desire" snacking that drives me crazy.
