I am typing, but really I am asleep. Ugh. Moving Co. rep comes between 11-12 to quote me a small fortune to move. Babysitter comes at noon. Work last night almost bearable. Worked on finishing up a telemetry exam I have to pass in order to keep working in the ED. Basically, it's a bunch of cardiac monitor strips we are supposed to interpret ( Read more... )

Very bad...dead soon azulaco June 30 2004, 07:31:11 UTC
I think "very bad...dead soon" describes my morning yesterday.

I have done similar things with prefab pizzas. Just be glad the cardboard didn't actually catch fire, as happened to someone I used to work with (thankfully, not me). And obviously, someone in the past has cooked the pizza with the plastic on, or they wouldn't have the warnings in BIG LETTERS about taking the plastic off prior to cooking. So we are not as lame as we could be.

Yeah, Catcher in the Rye...I guess it was revolutionary for its time, and no one else was writing anything like that, so it made a big splash. But I didn't LOVE it the way so many people seem to. I liked it. Somehow, I never got around to reading it until after college, either. "Franny and Zooey" is pretty good too.

Flammable pizzas dragonsgold5 June 30 2004, 09:10:36 UTC
Um, yeah, that flammable cardboard-backing-on-the-pizza thing? That happened to me a couple years ago. You feel uber-stupid when you set your pre-fab food on fire like that. Glad (or bemused) to know I'm in good company.

I've never read Catcher in the Rye. Recently re-read George Orwell's 1984. The movie version has been showing a lot lately on Dish Network--must be a lot of worried liberals lately (gee, wonder why? Not that there are any political similarities between 1984 and the Bush administration or anything....)
