Oh, what a week or more we've had at school! T is pretty aggressive,and we have to put her in the quiet area to protect everyone. Thankfully she loves the wheelchair, so when she does start pinching, scratching, hitting, biting, grabbing hair, kicking, etc, we can bring it to her, she'll sit, and we can take her back there. Fourteen years ago tonight...sometimes it doesn't seem that long, other times, it seems longer. The ache is gone, thankfully, but there are times I've been surprised at my reaction to something that reminds me of him, and I'll just cry. It's a good cry, but still. I was very surprised last time it happened.

It's been just over a month. In that time, much has been going on. Mostly, it's been with Mom. She's just been diagnosed with ALS, and is much more fragile than she was just a month ago. She's on 24/7 care now, and can't be left alone for any length of time as she needs help doing just about everything. She has a lift chair that helps her ( Read more... )

Just finished doing some gardening in the front. I do not like gardening at all, but there were some dead/dying plants there, and lots of weeds. I was able to buy some daphne plants the other day, and I want to plant those, so had to clean out the garbage that was there. Daphne are my favorite bush. So, it's been a while. School has been out for a week, now, and I've been at camp since then. I do love it. I went in Th June 15, and made french toast for breakfast. WA-HOO! Just got a note from my sister who had surgery for breast cancer. NOTHING FOUND IN THE LYMPY NODES! There was a bit more in the breast tissue itself, so she'll go in to have that removed soon, but nothing in the nodes! So thankful! She has to plan out her chemo and/or radiation treatment for the summer. I think just radiation, but not ( Read more... )
