As if friday mornings are not miserable enough, some of them have booby traps attached. Now, there is this thing in my mind about electric buttons and switches. Whenever I see one, it somehow appeals to my mind to tinker with it. The more innocent it looks, the greater the attraction to put it's functionality to the test. So, this morning, I was at ( Read more... )

foolery, buttons, office, me, alarms

Some experience. :) But I agree with you on buttons and devices
being irresistible. Every day on my way to/from work, I am tempted
to pull the bright red to-stop-train-pull-chain.

oh yeah, i do remember that one. I've often wondered why all such "use with caution" things are mostly marked red. rather than a dangerous colour, red attracts attention and one can never seem to get it out of their mind, until you've actually done it.

Hehe, I remember TV remotes having a "do nothing button". Kept on pressing it all the time.

Err, it seems more like if it's not going to electrocute you, press it :-p

Funny experience, and quite a close shave!

*LOOOOOOL*!!!! omg, brilliant! XD I understand you so well, buttons whose function is unclear are sooo tempting! But what a coincidence. *lol* Do you think you'll ever press a random button again, or are you traumatized for life? ;)

it is absolutely tempting! like bubble wraps and scribbling doodles. the whole thing seems quite funny in retrospect... but i was a scared cat back then. mostly becoz everything happened so fast i barely had time to comprehend! the very nature of random buttons calls for pressing them.. so I guess it's not the last time surely! ;)
