The Project is all but done. The towel and tp hardware are installed, the shower head reinstalled, the fan has been cleaned and fitted with a new lens, and even the doorstop has been replaced. New window and shower curtain rods will go up tomorrow; the window gets new curtains while the shower gets its recently replaced one

I also used to keep a whole lot around like that... I've pruned it wuite a bit during recent moves though, otherwise I'd likely still have all them spares.

The basement has a lot of just-in-case items: bits of wood, old paint, various scavenged nuts and bolts, and now the leftover plastic panel and frp cement from the ceiling.

Alas, poor Pinocchio. Maybe Honest John will purchase, er, adopt him.

Still a good idea to keep spare parts - experience tells me that even when you didn't need them in a decade, it'll be that they'd have been perfect for something within two weeks of you finally throwing them out!

That’s a very accurate miss-by date :D I sold things at a yard sale that would have been useful within that timeframe!

Hee! I come from a long line of hoarders. Seriously, I’ve got items here that my great-grandparents had put aside.
