On its way

Winter, of course. I’ve put up more outdoor Xmas lights and decorations: the lighted deer, and, for a change, a lighted tree. The doe figure only lit half way, but I located the culprit (a loose wire) and resolved that issue. The tree is our old 6’ artificial Xmas tree that was retired last year for a small, table-top affair. I’ve strung two 25 ( Read more... )

Homemade jam is the best. What kind is it?

That’s orange marmalade, per this recipe. The longest time spent on thus was removing the pith from the orange and lemon skins. The house smelled of citrus for hours! :o)

I like the way you did that embedded Vimeo clip.
Poor little bear.. it's a paradox that as our abilities to advance as civilization become more accessible, the pitfalls preventing it also become more perilous.

You can have my helping of marmalade (more for you!)... just straight up jam for me :9

The Vimeo clip was difficult to make because of my infrequent use of the program there. I finally trimmed the fifteen second video down to five, passworded it, and share/copied the url. LJ did a nice embedding just by dropping the url into the video post option. Heh, my html knowledge has really faded…

The bear and I are retreating from mainstream news ;o) And it is paradoxical that the information highway has become both a cesspit and a retreat from said cesspit.

No marmalade? Paddington and I will gladly enjoy yours!

That truck is so shiny and clean! It looks like it just came out of a showroom! Two wheel drive trucks definitely need weight over the back axel to avoid the frisbee/sliding joys of winter.

I can't say that I've ever had marmalade, but it looks tasty!

"...the inevitable collapse of civilization." ~ which will probably come after a nuclear holocaust.

The truck is holding up well; it’s a 2013 and has around 48,000 miles on it. I've driven very few miles since retiring in August :o)

Orange marmalade has a tangy sweetness to it. Smuckers makes a decent one if you’re buying. Otherwise I imagine Tom has done canning at some point (we hadn’t until 2018 or so).

Yeah, and with all the things going on overseas we’re dangerously close to someone making a stupid move.
