I had a similar mindset as a child. The song "The Logical Song" by Supertramp comes to mind.

I’ve always believed that puberty is the turning point where our remaining innocent beliefs become scorned by others and we find ourselves changing to avoid ridicule and bullying. My Pollyanna mindset helps me maintain a cheerful outlook :o)

Wow.
Yep, that really sums it up to a T .
(and generally around puberty I'm also guessing)
Quite astute and chilling.

That's why I've generally answered the "how old would you like to be forever?" meme with Age 9 ... because it was before the requirement to get on board with the world's mess, lest it defeat you.

I also try to cheery attitude most of the time (maybe not 100% pollyanna though...heh!...), just for good mental and physical health ^v^

Thanks for the links and images... birds and bunnies both represented in the ring counting image!.. and of course the nutty-silly meme widda bear thing :D

*smiles* I’ve maintained that my inner bunny self is age 8.

I ran across an article recently that said we should look for awe in our life everyday. It’s not a new concept, going over the articles that have appeared over the years. What struck me is that this is what so many of us do, subconsciously, particularly in the furry world.

Yes, bunnies and birds and natural wonders! That book was published in 1962, and I would have read it in 1963, when I was 8! Serendipity.
