I was in Borders the other day. I was sitting in the only open seat I could find, which happened to be near thecd listening booth thingy.
These two ghetto girls were listening to cd's and giggling real loudly. Every few minutes their phone would start ringing (Rap music) and they would laugh and answer it. Then, they would walk away.
Come back. Talk loud. Yell to the other one to "come here." Leave Come back
But you know what they never did once? Pick up a book. Or even browse the shelves.
I pitied them for being so young and so skanky, so soon. :(
But the worst part is that one of em kept saying, "Shhhh, that lady is trying to read."
Cell phones have become so ubiquitous that I imagine some people have absolutely no clue as to how annoying they can be. Particularly with the advent of bluetooth headsets.
I suspect this won't be the last time you'll see a scene like this. Though I fear for the day when people stop thinking it's a problem...
this one time in borders this guy was asleep and drooling on a book was reading, and there was four of us staring at him, trying to get someone else to nudge his fat ass awake.
