It sounds like such an awesome and interesting experience!!! awwww, i think it's cute that communism is called "the party" and that they have a sense of humor (although it sounds like a painful experience to go through...how could anyone sleep with such noise occurring about them???).

That was my own attempt at humor, silly. ^_~; Amy sleeps like the dead, though. Apparently on the train ride to Shanghai one of the windows in her room broke and she slept right through that. Simply said, she can sleep through -anything-. Probably including a fire, but I don't really want to test that theory...

Our opera experience was worse. You know the volume at which the human ear will start to bleed? Yeah, multiply that by five and have a woman singing in a shrilly voice. Yeah, painful.

I wasn't in control of the bargaining, usually, but we got things for dirt cheap. Yay!!! ^____^
