oh man. don't i love when random people who don't know anything about me or my mother's business bash us like there's no tomorrow. god, if they don't like the fucking shows, why do we even put them on? it doesn't help us at all, and every one who goes just complains all the time. so fuck that! honestly, i'm not doing the shows for me, do they think ( Read more... )

yea i wish some of these kids would try putting on shows themselves. If they've figured out how to make the perfect show that would please everyone, I'd love to see that. In the meantime, Olive's is helping keep the Nyack scene alive and that's supercool.

I can speak for myself and the rest of my band when i say being shafted like that is nothing new for us.

There will always be people that wont like the band youre in or the shows you play...but you just have to remember that YOURE doing it and the reason theyre bashing you is because they cant. The greedy people that book shows are the ones that are the most unbelieveable.
Theyre the ones that take everything away from the passion of music, yet at the same time they make you as a person more passionate for playing shows for practically nothing.
And THAT my friend, is punk rock.

Just keep playing music and do what you do..."you'll meet them all on the long journey to the middle"-Almost famous.
