Just a pondering?

I was considering making a blog for all my politics, gender, and psychology-related rants. But while I love LJ for... memes and to-do lists, I wonder if there was somewhere else to go where people might read me ( Read more... )

You could get a vox for your travels, the same people as LJ do that, and it's supposed to be really easy to integrate media into a vox. (LJ really kinda sucks at it, not going to lie -- it's counterintuitive. Then again, I don't know about vox, I don't have one.)

I'll read you where ever you are... if you go to blogger or something you should end up with an RSS feed, and I'll syndicate it on LJ, so your posts would show up on LJ if people were to friend the account.

Ohh, an RSS feed is a good idea... I will mull it over a little while longer, but vox is a smart idea to consider too.

You can manage multiple Blogger blogs with your Google account. I currently have two separate blogs under one google account, so don't let that hold you back. I've been very happy with the ease of uploading media to the blogger blogs. As long as you provide fairly easily accessible links, I'll read you where ever you post.

i personally liked using my lj for my travels, since i already knew my way around it and didn't have to point my friends somewhere else. If you want to make it separate, though, one of my friends who went to russia for a semester used a travelblog, which was cool because it sent me an email whenever she updated in it, though putting media on was a bit problematic. I'll read you wherever you decide to be, of course.

Hey, there, this is Paige from H.S. - I've seen you around on Kate's LJ, so I've known you were on here, but was too shy to friend you. BUT I swear that I saw you at the Canton library yesterday (Thursday), walking with someone else. I was the dork in pigtails and a fedora (really). I thought I'd comment and see if that actually was you.

And if it wasn't, um, hey! *waves* I've friended you; if that's not cool I can unfriend, no worries.
