Not a lot of time to write what I have a lot to say, but...
Just wow. I had no idea that I'd stumbled on such an amazing opportunity, surrounded by so many phenomenal people. No matter what I thought I knew about the Truman scholarship, there was no way I could know what I had until I got here.

Happy news?
So... the exceedingly good news: I was selected as one of 200 Truman finalists from across the country!! This means I get to go do an interview in Chicago, and if I impress the panel there, I will be picked as one of the 70-80 Truman Scholars for this year. Then the Truman Foundation will pay up to $30,000 for graduate school, my worries for ( Read more... )
