Olivia wants to write a letter

Sep 19, 2008 14:18

This morning when I woke Livi, we cuddled in her bed for a bit and I talked about how we were going to see my doctor. I told her I was going to have an ultrasound and we'd get to see the baby. She asked if the baby was going to come out now, and I said, no, not for a few more weeks. Then she asked if Les and Linda are going to be there when the ( Read more... )

We'll need to do a bit more practicing first, as she can barely even write a D, let alone a G!

Haha! It amazes and awes me how incredibly literal children can be at that age and how much we learn the world all over again through their eyes. Everything from letters, and well letters, to all the different aspects of our daily, weekly and individual lives. It makes them both so precious and so very unique.

Yep. Things we take for granted have a whole different meaning to a child, and they can make that realization pretty amusing. :D

How are you doing?

Lately, if I can feel all of my fingers and toes at the same time.. it's a good day. Unfortunately, it hasn't been something that's happened a lot in the last two weeks or so. No one seems to know why or what caused it. So this week is a round of Neuros and MRIs and probably another round of getting stuck and giving up more blood than I should on a quest to figure out why my extremities aren't getting the blood they should. Honestly, I'm scared. I'm trying to keep it together and some days I do better at it than others.

I still have my sense of humor, so I'm thinking today is a pretty good day even if I'm hobbling along and unable to feel parts of me. *hugs* BTW, thank you.. for asking and for caring about the answer.

Oh yikes, more mysterious medical issues and another load of testing. :( At least I know full well the cause of my discomfort, and even signed up for it. I'm sorry you're dealing with health issues yet again. I'm also guessing L is still far, far away, so that makes it all that much more fun, right?

You're such an amazingly strong woman to manage to keep a sense of humor through times like this. *hug* I wish there was more I could do to help with that than just make an occasional cute Livi post.

It makes me smile every time I think about it. And I'm glad to hear that D's are still making you happy too. ;D
