My brother took the GRE yesterday. Every time I talked to him the last few weeks, he was not studying. When I asked him if he was studying, he gave me a noncommital "Mmmmuuhhhh." He came down with a head cold on Friday and was doped up on Theraflu. He scored a perfect 800 on the math portion and a 750 on the verbal, which is 98th percentile. ( Read more... )

My best friend whom I've known since we were 10 went to Italy and was ordered by me to bring me back gifts, which he always does anyway when he goes places because he's wonderful like that. I just bought myself a copy of Amelie and watched it tonight. I loved it when I first watched it. My sammich isn't any old sammich. It's made with a whole wheat French bread roll. There's avocado slices instead of lettuce, and the avocado is organic. The tomato slices are vine-ripened and organic. The roast beef is deli-sliced. The mayo is real mayo. And the cheese is camembert.

My sammich makes me so happy. I love food.

The other night, I was flipping through radio stations driving home at like 1:00 a.m. and I heard a dance remix of Nine Inch Nails' Hand That Feeds on KBIG 104.3 and I thought the world was ending. Yesterday, I overdosed on blush and thought, "Oh no, my face looks like a baboon's ass," but I didn't have time to undo it. And it turns out that I got a lot of, "You look great today!" Uh, okay. So today, I purposely aimed to look like a baboon's ass, and I got, "You're looking very pretty of late."

Sigh. :P
