Thanks Barry! Y'all should take a summer road trip and see it - did y'all make it to Bell Book and Candle?

That's such great news. I used to do theatre in high school and had even lettered in it and competed at the state level. However, it became another one of the list of things that I just stopped doing. Now I just sing and dance in the comfort of my own home where no one can see or hear me. I happen to love Part of That World. I too sing that song to myself - from the same part where you started your audition selection. I think that some people choose 'elegant' pieces because they think it is more impressive and that's not always the case. Seriously, there are some great Disney songs that when done right can be used to convey not only emotion but vocal range. Another Disney song that comes to mind that does exactly that is Reflection (Christina Aguilera). I'm sure you're going to totally rock. Congrats again on your upcoming play.

Lady L, my current motto is that it's never too late to be what you might have been. If you still want to perform or get onstage...DO IT!!

I'm just so glad to hear you are singing. I remember for a while you said you'd never sing again and that broke my heart because YOU, my dear, have an AMAZING voice.

Just like people in academia want to rip on popular fiction, I think people in music want to rip on Disney because it is so big. But, obviously the music director didn't mind my song and really, would you do Le Mis for a kid's show audition? Naah.
