GAH! KEEP WRITING ACE/SMOKER STUFF! You churn out some very interesting drabbles. ^^

I liked seeing this concise explanation of what exactly Smoker sees in Ace. So often they're written as just overwhelmingly attracted to each other with more emphasis put on what's pulling them apart than what's holding them together.

I adored the list of similarities:
"How innocents drew surprising kindness from both of them.
The way they made devotion, to promises made, to their ideals, to each other, an end in itself."

It's so true... So they can't really be different species. ♥ ♥ ♥

Random note: I downloaded that song because I liked the lyrics and wow was it ever not what I was expecting. XD

XD I probably should have put a warning or something. First time I heard Tom Waits I thought my stereo was broken. His singing is the audio equivelent of fine scotch-- until you're used to it, it might as well be turpentine.

Um, I can upload the song, but as yuki_kokoro discovered, it is Tom Waits and acquired taste might not even begin to describe his singing. ^^;;;; I love his music to death, though, and this song has honestly made me cry.

A different take on the usually combative Smoker/Ace dynamic here. I really liked this view. And "Fish and birds." Smoker repeated. That couldn't be what they were at all. "You know neither of us can swim." this line really made me smile.

I have a feeling my impression of most of the One Piece characters might be divergent from the fandom norms. ^^;; I'm happy you liked it!!

I really liked the concept you put into this. The detail behind Smoker and Ace is well done and thought through. It's nice to see the flow throughout this fic...but overall I LOVE YOUR SMOKERXACE! Awesome job. I hope to read more!
