At the library listening to the French radio. I'm stuck with "la CityRadio: France bleu" --- which is the city radio station of Paris. First off --- a complaint: why do the KCLS libraries still lack Macromedia Flash player? You'd think that such a widely used program would exist on public-use computers. I guess I can't complain too much. It's nice that the computer wait time here at the 320th library has been drastically cut... which is a good thing ( Read more... )

I think one of the best things about summer is the fact that I have the opportunity to enjoy two of my favorite fruits --- the delicious watermelon (both red and yellow forms --- my grandparents always liked yellow watermelon better... Even more evidence that people here cannot drive. I was almost hit by two cars while crossing 8th Ave S and S 320th St today after getting off the bus to go to the library. Luckily the driver stopped at the last second... are people blind when it comes to pedestrians? Why is everyone in such a rush to get to places? I hate it! Have some patience ( Read more... )
