The seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins, are a classification of the most objectionable vices that were originally used in early Christian teachings to educate and instruct followers concerning fallen man's tendency to sin.

THEY ARE
Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride

I'll play 8^) but first a little pedantry ....

Technically from a good medieval view most of these are indulged in constantly by us all since thinking about them is the same as doing them ..... but I won't get that detailed 8^)

Lust, Been there did that, then my hormones settled a bit and was there did that a bit less, then I got married and for 27 years I was faithful, but lust is a trick critter. One must wonder if you can lust after the one you have a relationship with?
As my marriage tanked over the years i was certainly guilty of "lusting in my heart" but didn't act even if the opportunity was obvious. I take vows pretty seriously. Now ... the interest is willing .. no suitable potential companions oh wait that would be more like relationships.

Gluttony,
Um. Yes guilty especially when depressed plus I am diabetic and often glut on things bad for me.

Greed, this has seldom been a problem for me I really do not need a lot and while the idea of winning the lottery is pleasant I can't say the desire for things eat up many ( ... )

1. If you can indeed lust after the one you have a relationship with, the question then becomes: Is that sinning? Let us assume that you are faithful to one another thus you only partake of that magic with each other. Hmm…
2. I’m a diabetic as well and man does that make it that much more difficult!
3. Blaming my chronic inaction on depression is something usual for me but you said it best: It is also slothful to make excuses for ones sloth so…No luck there, huh?

Thanks for taking the time to play. You are a great playmate!

Thank you for the game 8^)
1. I think it can be lust if you spend time fantasizing about your partner instead of putting them to action when you have the chance ... or thoughts of activities with them which you know are not acceptable to them, or fantasizing about things rather than finding out if they are acceptable

2 yeah it sucks. I also have what might be charitably called an addictive personality or adult ADD with compulsive tendencies usually its fairly benign ... I tend to latch on to behaviors very intensely for periods of time, from hours to years and then just drop it and latch onto another.

3. ultimately we are responsible for our own journey 8^)

I love to look at things from every angle and am open to discussing anything as well. Its how I learn and I think when you stop learning you aren't really living.

Lust: I can see where lusting after one unavailable to you could be a sin, but I think lust is healthy. Even after seven years in a relationship, I still feel it, and am happy that I do ( ... )

Far more about you than I want to know? Never that!

I thank you for such a well-written, informed response. You are a true sport and I’m honored that you chose to play at this getting to know you thang. *thumbs up*

Greetings. This is a very cool "getting to know you" exercise that I haven't seen before. I will answer, but in my own journal if I may? That way, perhaps I can encourage other people on my Flist to play. *grin*

Of course you may post it as your own. Feel free to make it look as you wish. I wrote the entire html code in mine but I am a geek like that. *grins proudly* you can make your post as simple/complicated as you want it to be.

Oh, I'm geeky too, but also lazy. I'll just copy yours--giving proper credit of course.
