Title: Usiku (1/1)
Author: monstrousreg
Word count:
Warnings:  Mentions of blood and gore, possibly insulting language.
Pairing: Erik/Charles.
Notes: A one-shot inspired by this beautiful picture by Yaegakisawa. She is an amazing artist, and I saw this picture and this story just... assaulted me.

Usiku means 'night' in Swahili.

The sad truth is Usiku agents exist far from society and largely out of the law, by necessity )

fic, x-men:1st class, i'm crazy we knew this, au, plot bunnies from hell and similar rando, erik/charles

Very interesting universe you set up here. What a teasing little taste, but I enjoyed it.

I loved the world you've built around this. I especially loved it that the bulk of the story was done in Moira's POV and how it offers tantalizing glimpses of the "other" side from a regular human's perspective. It just made me crave for more, especially for a prequel. Please?

Hi!

Yeah, that was my idea precisely by using Moira. She's closer to us, a regular human, and she's struggling to understand as much as we are. I thought it would be interesting.

I'm considering about the prequel, but can't promise anything :) I wonder if sometimes just leaving it like that is the best option, and let you readers imagine the rest of this world on your own.

I- That- I- jfksdljfkls.
This entire story was absolutely brilliant. D:
I can't even. I just. I can't express in words how much I loved it. The world, the setup of everything, the characters' views and how you translated their personalities, how you made the..vampyr not something that's typical. I mean I know we didn't see any real details aside from the mirror part, and maybe there aren't too many details to see, maybe there are, but you wrote it in such a way that it wasn't cheesy, it didn't make me think of crappy tv shows or any of the vampire movies I've seen. It was entirely unique, to me. And the whole story, you left off just enough to leave many things in it an intriguing mystery. I want to read more of it, find out more about the world and characters and history and what will happen next. I love it when writers can make me feel that way so strongly.
This entire thing was dark and intense and beautiful. I loved it very much. Thank you for writing it. <3
